Friends and readers, as The Cat Comic draws to the end of it’s third month, I find myself with a big dilemma and have been doing some serious thinking about this feline flavoured comic of mine.
As you may be aware, this is the second comic project I’ve been involved in. My first was a story comic called Dr Sheep and the Aardvark. I loved drawing and writing it, but when the story concluded I was ready for a change and deliberately made my next project, The Cat Comic, something quite different and while I have really enjoyed drawing the cats and writing their silly lines, I must admit I really miss having a story to tell, so what’s a bloke like me to do?
The solution I have come up with is to try and have the best of both worlds. I’m going to start a second comic strip in January. Hooray! That’s the good news (I hope you agree, if not then that’s the bad news).
The bad news is that in order to have the time to do it I’m going to have to make a sacrifice. I’m going to have to make The Cat Comic update less frequently. And so, from next week, the comic will update just once a week, on Mondays. I have no plans to stop the comic (in fact I have a buffer of 3 months worth of comics so it’s going to be around fora while no matter what!). I hope that despite less frequent updates you continue to enjoy reading this silly comic.
Thanks for your support. Roll on January!

Don’t forget the chocolate sauce!!
Who could forget the chocolate sauce?!
Thanks, James, for The Cat Comic. I have been enjoying it. I can certainly understand your desire to tell a story in more than one panel. Any chance it will have cats in it?
Thanks for your comment, Dee. Yes, the new comic will indeed have a moggy in it, belonging to one of the main characters.
Whew! I thought you were gonna end this! I’m a big fan of the Cat Comic, so I’m a bit sad to see its update frequency get reduced. However, if there’s another new comic from you to be savoured, well I guess it’s ok. Can’t wait!
Sorry for the fright! Must be a Halloween thing! I hope you enjoy the new comic. It’s something I started working on during Dr Sheep and the Aardvark, but then I got distracted by some cats!
I’ll still be around!
I love checking in. Don’t always comment, but I do always look!
I’ll be sure to comment more.
Thanks very much. I often swing by the Daily Cute too. It’s a great blog you’ve got over there.
What ya got here is great! I love the adorable cat lines.
A new comic would be interesting as I would love to see more of your talent. Keep the cats meowing though, as this comic is unique and fun by itself.
Thank you for you comment Sahara. Delighted that you want to see the new project and I hope you enjoy it when it lands next year
