Today’s cat, Sable, is the last of three real life cats belonging to my friend Rosie.
As with Monty and Rocco who appeared recently, Rosie supplied a description of Sable which influenced the comic.
“Sable is the old lady of the house at 16 years old. She has an air of the upper classes about her, having been brought up for 14 years on fresh meat cooked to perfection and as the only cat in the house. She has now been thrust into a house with two ‘lads from a cat shelter!!!!’ Eugh! She is like living with an elderly ‘lady of the manor’ although her once fabulous grey coat is now browning and she no longer lives in luxury. Despite the ‘hard times’ she till keeps her dignity and no one ever mentions how she’s faded! But I like to think she secretly enjoys slumming it, as no matter how snooty she is, she goes nuts for a good kebab on a Friday night!”
Hahaha kebabs would be beneath her station eh? Sable looks really…. mature…. in that photograph. 16 years is quite an achievement.
Yes, soon she’ll be partying all night. You know teenagers!
